Olga Bankston Art
I was born in Ukraine and came to US in 2005. Art has always been an important part of my life. Since before I started school, I was involved in different art classes and programs.
When I was 12 I was fortunate enough to enroll in classes that were led by a now well-known Ukrainian sculptor Yuriy Kozeratskiy. Attending his classes for four years taught me the importance of translating feelings and energy into your paintings and how it affects the viewer.
Just as nature affects and influences people by bringing positive emotions and peace of mind, so can art move the viewer in a similar way. Imagine you have another window on your wall leading to a beautiful forest where there's no rainy days, or that special place you and your family visited. How wonderful would it be to bring an image of that place and being able to see it every day at home. Artists are an important part of society because they bring the life, movement, and beauty to it.
I work with oil, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media in four different art styles. Each of them are special to me, with each having their own unique influence.
Nature inspires me, the tranquility that it brings to ones mind. I often marvel at the beauty of the surrounding world, and the astounding work of its creator.
